The ILDN office in Limerick is currently conducting operations through a mix of home working, conference calling, emails and ILDN intranet along with a limited presence in the office where it is in line with guidelines and a precautionary approach. As the staff team is small (two persons) and much of our work can be conducted by electronic means, members and external organisations should not notice any change in service. Staff may be contacted on 061 404923, admin@ildn.ie, joe@ildn.ie and 087 9379572.
At this time, the ILDN staff and board have a focus on supporting member companies to keep their staff and service users safe in line with national guidelines. Members are adhering to the advice of the HSE and their funding departments and whilst companies are operating, service modifications are in place as necessary alongside a range of home working and virtual meeting arrangements.
ILDN is also collaborating closely with other community and voluntary organisation as a member of the national Advisory Group on Community Response chaired by the Department of Rural & Community Development which reports to the National Public Health Emergency Team sub-group on Vulnerable Groups.
Members are advised that all ILDN member meetings are cancelled until April and this will be reviewed in line with official guidelines, a precautionary principle and the potential impacts on member companies as there may not be much scope for meetings due to lost time in the early period after restrictions are lifted. For this reason, the Spring Staff Forums will not take place.
