The Irish Local Development Network (ILDN) have today (Wednesday) welcomed an allocation of €500,000 from the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth for local community projects nationwide under the 2020 Community Integration Fund.
Amongst the recipients under the fund are five members of the ILDN located in Cork, Dublin & Galway.
ILDN commends its members – IRD Duhallow (Cork), SECAD Partnership (Cork), Dublin South City Partnership, Southside Partnership (Dublin) and Galway City Partnership – for their successful applications under the Community Integration Fund.
All 49 ILDN members nationwide provide a wide range of social inclusion and community integration services to migrants and New Communities under the €43 million Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP), funded by the Department of Rural & Community Development.
The Community Integration Fund, provided by the Department of Children, Equality , Integration and Youth is a welcome additional fund to build on the valuable work being undertaken by LDCs in Communities across the Country to support integration and social inclusion activities particularly at this difficult time owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
